hi everyone! i'm posting again. crazy right? anyways, i really wanted to start posting more because i do enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts and i'm also paying to have a domain so i mean posting just makes sense. but i really do want to be more serious about this blogging stuff so let's just hope i do it.

so mid-august, influenster sent me the dr. jart+ cicapair collection. for free. thank you, influenster. so guys, influenster is a really cool platform where you could potentially get sent free things to try and actually love. you take quiz-like things to see your interests and they have you do a survey if you are pre-selected to see if you'd be a good match for the products they are testing. i've gotten food and makeup and all sorts of stuff that i've always really enjoyed. this box, however, i'm obsessed with. and let me just emphasize that i got over $100 in products for free. just to voice my opinion on. i'm not sponsored or anything because i mean i obviously barely post as is. updating this blog has been on my to-do list for the past like 2 months. i did think i should share this though. and if you're interested in influencer, signing up is 100% free and you should most definitely use my link to sign up because then we would both benefit. so the link is here. and if you sign up without using it after reading this you should feel bad because that's fake.

back to the review. so i'm really bad about reviews. this one is actually up before the kylie skin review somehow. i love kylie skin but that is a topic for another post that will hopefully come soon. so influenster sent five different products to try from the cicapair collection. what is cica exactly? of course, as the curious skincare junkie i am, i did my research (mainly for blog oops). cica aka tiger grass aka centella asiatica is "a prime ingredient for complete skin recovery, and an age-old healing tradition used by none other than (wait for it) tigers" (byrdie.com). it's 2019 and we are siting our sources. or maybe i'm just used to doing it in school. anyways, i'm good share my thoughts about the products one by one.

cicapair tiger grass serum ($46): okay, i love this serum. it is now part of my regular serum routine. i either use this or the kylie skin serum or sometimes mix the two. i always use this serum as my serum when i feel like my skin is a little irritated or has been roughed up. like when i do intense scrubbing and stuff. i usually use this one at night. i kind of play it by ear and have been doing a sort of intuitive skincare routine and just giving my skin what i feel it needs at the time. i also feel like it makes my skin so so so soft. especially with the other products.

cicapair tiger grass calming gel cream ($48): i don't want to start of every part of this review with "i love this..." but i love this too. i feel like a lot of companies produce a bunch of products and want you to use them all in conjunction with each other and a lot of the time it's because half the products are really good and compensate for the other products being subpar. i was on a tangent but basically this is amazing. if you're an og and have seen my yt channel you'd know i loved gel moisturizers. i loved the belif aqua bomb and this one i love way more. it has such a nice cooling effect and it really is nice and calming. so if i end up going hard on skincare in the morning, i use this instead of my kylie moisturizer. or i use it if i just feel like i want something lighter that still does it's job.

cicapair tiger grass cream ($48): this product has become my new night cream. i used to really despise heavy creams. maybe i still do but the creams i have been finding lately have been heavy but don't feel heavy?? if that makes any sense at all? this makes my skin super soft and applying it is therapeutic because it is so creamy but it absorbs really quick.

cicapair tiger grass calming mist ($23): i don't have too much to say about this mist. it's a mist, it smells nice, and i guess i like it. does it feel refreshing? yeah. is it the most refreshing mist? no. i use it before the rest of the cicapair products but i don't love it to the point where i think i would give repurchasing it a thought.

cicapair tiger grass color correcting treatment spf 30 ($18-52): i'm just gonna say it. i wasn't a fan of this product. when i watched someone use this product online they just rubbed it in and it blended in so i was under the impression that it was one of those adjusts-to-your-complexion products. to be fair, that person was a way lighter complexion so that could have been the issue. i'm just not big into wearing lots of face makeup and wanted something that was easy and more tinted so that was my issue. i also didn't like the smell.

in conclusion, because this really felt like an essay, i would repurchase three out of the five products. the serum, gel cream, and cream are now part of my routine and i'm really happy with the results. so basically what i'm saying is go buy the products. i literally linked them and made it so easy so just put in credit card and then let your finger slip on the "confirm purchase" button. you're welcome in advance.
